I've spent countless hours wrapping PowerShell scripts around .NET SDK to do such things in the past. This should save a ton of work. Nice work guys, much appreciated!

Any chance we can see this pre-available on the Windows AMIs? It would make bootstrapping our instances trivial, and would mean I could throw away a whole bunch of code! Unless I've missed the other command-line tools being available, of course.

Tom Rizzo

@Simon, thanks for the feedback. In the latest AMI refresh for Windows for Patch Tuesday, the PowerShell Tools are installed. So if you launch our new AMIs you will see the tools. You will need to set your PowerShell execution policy correctly to use them but the tools are pre-installed.

Enjoy!

Tom
