How much SQL is supported by Redshift, compared for example to what I could run on a native Postgres server? Analytic/window functions?

What about data types?

Any support for user defined functions, stored procedures, etc.?

Will there be support for extensions to ANSI SQL? (Such as PL/SQL, T-SQL)

When can this be launched in a VPC?

I second the notion for the VPC support. It doesn't seem very desirable to have this functionality exposed to the internet as a whole. The service does sound enticing if it could be consumed in a VPC environment.

Thanks a ton for the feedback. When the full service launches in early 2013, we plan to support encrypting data at rest and Amazon VPC.

How exactly do you get 1+ PB of data by uploading over the wire? Even if I ship portable hard drives to the amazon data center, it would take several hundreds of them.
