Succinct interview by Jeff where we learn a little more about the "Plan for Cloud" product as well as Michael Crandell is indicating a focus on the Enterprise Private Cloud market. Given that Rightscale is most beneficial in larger environments ,in my opinion, it would make sense for Rightscale to refocus on the larger private enterprise clouds. I have seen a few enterprises write their own Cloud Management programs, some more successful than others. For those enterprises where the chore of managing their internal cloud is overwhelming their i-house CMPs the Rightscale product could be helpful. I expect will learn more about this renewed attention on the Enterprise Private Cloud at Re-Invent in Las Vegas.
