I love to meet with start-ups. There's always energy, enthusiasm, creativity and a desire to change the world in some interesting way. Over the years I've also read and reviewed many of the applications for the AWS Start-Up Challenge.
The AWS team has been working with a number of start-up incubators to make sure that entrepreneurs all over the world are fully informed about AWS from the very beginning. One such organization is Springboard. They offer an intensive, mentor-lead program at Cambridge University in the UK. The 13 week program draws over 100 mentors and is open to start-ups from the UK and elsewhere. Over 50% of the start-ups in their program have subsequently succeeded in raising capital.
The deadline for the next round of applications is February 20, 2011. Start here, and good luck with your application!
