Great news and perfect timing for some planned large scale data movement testing. Just like with the multipart announcement I'd be interested in knowing which of the various helper libraries and S3 utilities pick up support for the new size limit.

Great news! I assume the limit on the number of parts in multipart upload is still there (1-10000) and to upload the 5TB file the parts will need to be at least 500Mb in size. Is that correct?

Jeff Barr

Regarding the comment from self.maluke.com, you are correct. The 10,000 part limit still applies so each part of a 5TB file would have to be at least 500MB.
