My article about how ELB works and how to test ELB deployments is also a helpful resource:

Hi Jeff -

I haven't noticed much support for Ruby on Rails. We've forked RightScales AWS ruby interface and added support for Elastic Load Balancing. This has allowed us to launch servers within deployment scripts and automatically attach then to our ELB.

I posted some information here: http://blog.appoxy.com/2009/08/ruby-interface-to-aws-elastic-load.html

I can also follow up with details about our deployment scripts later. May be helpful to the Ruby community.

Cheers!

Chad
