Actually, I believe that s33r is a bit further along now... It's been moved into a RubyGem, and is available here: http://rubyforge.org/projects/s33r/.
Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it seems fairly complete, even including workarounds for some notorious Ruby Net::HTTP problems.

Hi Jeff,
Thought you might like to know: my early S3 Rails project is getting on a bit; I've done a lot of work on the code since (based initially on the Amazon Ruby samples) - and have a project site at http://rubyforge.org/projects/s33r/. I keep meaning to put it on the S3 tools page...
