Very Interesting Game-Changer using Mechanical Turk

There's a really interesting post over at the BitPorters blog today. Read it, think about it, and let us know (via comments here or on the original post) what you think.

I regularly tell my audiences that our services allow developers to be innovative and creative. I also tell them that innovation and creativity isn't limited to building something that's new and cool, but that it can mean creating an entirely new business model in addition to (or even instead of) building something new and cool.

Today's post is a perfect example of this. Sure there's code involved, but the real innovation is turning site visitors into site supporters by asking them to do a little bit of work on your behalf.

have to open up the worker wsdl for this to happen, but it's a cool idea

In other words, the idea is to have reader R make a micro payment to publisher P using the funds that R can obtain from achieving work off AMT, whether this work is needed by P or someone else.
Essentially you're talking about a generalized AMT-based (micro-)payment system.

I was wondering about one more potential application.
Every company wants to know what can be done to make their product better.Like yahoo wants to know what features users want in next messenger.Amazon wants to know what features users/developers would like to see in AMT/S3.
Some amount of money spent in advertising and feedback collection can be better spent using AMT for this. You are likely to get some innovatives ideas that nobody ever thought of.It might require higher wages.Method of reviewing is also an issue(should it be mechanical or automated).
